Where’s Leila?
Leila had told Mark to meet her at the coffee shop. He wouldn’t be long; he had gone back to the shoe stall. He’d regret it if he didn’t buy a pair.
She ordered coffee and chose a window seat.
A tall man in a suit entered the café and approached her. “The man buying the shoes is not well. He told me to get you.”
“What??”
“Follow me, please.”
Panicking, Leila followed the man out the side door. Minutes later Mark entered the front door, beaming with his new shoes.
