The Glow
A glow could be seen through the clouds that night
Spooking a group of bikers
The light shone from a small silver ship
Returning a group of hikers.

The hikers were long-time lovers
Of hiking and the great outdoors
While their feet cooled in a river,
their shoes tied together
The ship scooped them up through the floor.

The hikers were taken deep into space
Had seen the universe and beyond
But they were returning
Their need was burning
To walk in the bush they held fond.
