The Sceptic and the Psychic

Kate washed her hands with a mild soap especially for sensitive skin, in readiness for her appointment with Madam Zelda. She had met the popular psychic while waiting for a bus.  Zelda had encouraged her to visit her for a palm reading.

MZ – “I see a tall, older man.”

K – “How tall?”

MZ – “Shh. I see a waterfall.”

K – “Where’s that?”

MZ – “There is a ring.”

K – On who’s finger?”

MZ – “I see a baby.”

K – “No way! Can you see a map of this waterfall?”

MZ – ”I don’t do directions. I’m telling you what I see. You’ll want the lotto numbers next!”

  1. I am not a skeptic which is why I avoid psychics unless I know what kind of spirit they serve. If I’m unsure, skepticism is the best stance to take. I am glad to hear K’s asking the right questions.
