Friday Fictioneers – Write a 100-word story based on the Photo Prompt image above by © Rochelle Wisoff-Fields
A Tricky Mission
“You’ve got this. Get past the guards, and go up to the tallest tower. Elle will be waiting”.
Sounds simple, but there’s a catch. There’s a spinning wheel. A crazy witch put a spell on it, it’s nearly impossible not to touch. I have to get past it.
Don’t touch it, they said. It’ll be game over. Not for this marine.
The guards are slack, and I get past.
I open the door, and there she is. What a babe!
Her eyes meet mine, “Don’t touch it!”
Within millimetres of touching it, my phone rings and vibrates. It’s Mission Control.
“You there yet?”

“Don’t touch it” always means that it will be touched. It’s human nature.

Dear Fleur,
Tension and intrigue. Nicely done. I wouldn’t trust that beauty, methinks she’s the witch.
