Friday Fictioneers – Write a 100-word story based on the Photo Prompt image above by © Alicia Jamtaas
Hiding Out
“One…two…”
“Quickly, let’s go!”
“Sorry, I got a text, was just…”
“Never mind your phone, hurry up, we have to hide!”
“Six…seven…”
“It’s a bit lame…I really wasn’t fussed about playing this, to be honest.”
“Well bad luck, it’s Kate’s party, her rules.”
“Hide and Seek…seriously? How old are we again?”
“Eleven …twelve…”
“What is she counting up to?”
“Not nearly enough, the way we are going!”
“Let’s just stay in here. Hey, nice bike.”
“Hey, a sheet hanging up. Quick, get in behind!”
“Ohh…it’s already taken.”
“Shhh! It’s a huge bed, we can fit more.”
“I hope you’ve got wine…”
Thanks for reading
For the attention of #FridayFictioneers – I’ve changed the ending of this story since the time of writing, I thought it needed a better twist 😉
What a fun, all-dialogue story. it’s never too late for a game of hide and seek.
