Keeping Mum

Keeping Mum

Tilly’s shirt was loosely buttoned, and a bead of sweat trickled down from her chin. She scolded herself. “I should have looked weeks ago.”

Searching for a box of recipes, her Mum’s legendary Christmas pudding recipe must be found.  Four hours on, there was no sign of the bright pink box. Mum was forgetful now, so she wouldn’t be impressed if Tilly lost it.

“Garlic…?? Let’s hope…”

Lifting the curtain, there on top of a table, beside a few old rusty paint tins, was a dusty, dirty, dented, pink box.

Best that Mum didn’t find out where her recipe was filed!

    1. Thanks Bill, he idea started with the opening 4 words popping randomly into my head so I had to do something with them. I wasn’t sure how it was going to end, changed it 3 times lol decided to unearth the box.
