Patchwork #26

This patchwork stitches together a weekend of camping, enjoying the basics, teamwork, pole dancing, and other stuff.

Base Camp

Our getaway adventure started smoothly as soon as we arrived at our campsite. The main room folded out of the trailer easily and tidily. It looked straight, not wonky at all which was a great start. I was thinking long may this last.

Campzilla

It was a blessing having our good friend Ms K to help; as assembling the annex went with a glitch or two: at one point I was on the verge of losing the plot as we took pole dancing to new levels when we put up the canvas walls. While all this was going on, I laughed till I cried, bent over holding my knees with Ms K’s wicked sense of humour. She’s a ray of sunshine and sees the fun and positive side even in the face of adversity. Full credit to my beau, he was also calm. I can’t count how many times it is said that putting up a tent can bring on a divorce between a happy couple!

Fun at the Federal

To feed and nourish ourselves, we went to a local pub for dinner. Enjoying the ambiance so much, we were among the last diners to leave. we saw the remaining staff working happily together as they topped up the condiment containers…my beau goes up to them and says…

Dad Joke Alert… ‘That would be a good seasonal job…

Bloomin’ Marvellous

The following day, we went to the Queen’s Gardens for the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers. The blooms of many varieties and colours made a magnificent display. You can see more of the carnival here

That’s all for now…thanks for reading
