Unwanted Visitors
Perry’s mind raced, and his heart pounded as he heard them run up the derelict creaky staircase, past the stuffy, dusty broom cupboard on the landing where he hid. This dump wasn’t a holiday home, Their interruption was annoying and absurd.
 The previous 24 hours had been more absurd. He didn’t know the car was stolen when he borrowed it. And the bag swap on the tram…he had unintentionally become an accessory to a crime by picking up the wrong bag. Now they were looking for him.Â
And now these excitable kids… what next? He froze. The envelope…
