A Surprise in Store
The dusty kitchen was a buzz as Nick and Bek frantically tried to revive Perry.
โCome on, man! wake up!โ
โWhat is he doing here?โ
โNo idea.โ
โUh, whaaaโฆโ Perry stirred.
โPerry?โ
โNickโฆ?โ
โHey, bud. What are you doing here?โ his neighbour asked.
โHiding.โ
โFrom who?โ
โLong story.โ
โI bet. What happened?โ
Perry explained his ordeal.
โTheyโre after me. The evidence and gun were in the suitcase.โ
โTheyโre not, theyโre in custody. It was on the news.โ
โGo to the police. Weโll drive you. Everything will be okay.โ
โDad will help, itโs good having a lawyer in the family eh.โ Nick winked.
Thanks for reading
That’s it…the final chapter. 100 words are definitely limiting and there is a lot left to the reader’s imagination with this story, but at last, an outcome. In my mind, Perry was never a bad guy, just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Sounds like a sticky situation, finger prints will get him in the end.

It is a sticky one. I hope he only gets a growling and goes free. He may well made another appearance in a story down the track ๐ Thank you, James.

I’d like to think he’s as safe as they say, but I wonder. Guess we’ll never know!

I think he’ll be back in another story, somehow. He’s not completely done yet ๐
Thanks so much, Keith ๐

I had to catch up, Martha, but I agree with you. Perry seems like a victim of circumstance and the scary thing is will he be able to convince the law?!

Yes he is. I’d like to bring his personality out more in future stories too.
I wonder how he’ll go, convincing the law?

Yup. As I said to James…I think he might be back sometime in another story. I put so much thought into him, he’s hard to forget lol
