Friday Fictioneers – Write a 100-word story based on the Photo Prompt image above by © Dale Rogerson
Problem – Solving
Grace enjoyed minding Frankie on Wednesday nights. Frankie was advanced for her four years, with the vocabulary of a young adult, but with the innocence of a child. Frankie’s mum was at Pilates class. Grace always left the porch light on.
They tried to fix Barbie’s left leg; ‘Barbie Pilates’ hadn’t ended well. Grace made them a fruit infusion tea.
“This helps problem-solving, Frankie, “Tea fixes almost everything.”
“Mum drinks wine to do that.”
“Does she? Sometimes wine helps too.”
“ If wine doesn’t work, she rings Uncle Terry.”
“It’s good to have backup.”
“He fixes a few things, mum’s more relaxed when he leaves.”

Dear Fleur,
From the mouth of babes. That got a laugh out loud at the end. 😀
