In this fast-paced, impatient world, this thing happens most days, it’s something that really spins my tyres when it happens and grates my gears when it’s missing. Customer Service.

Today at work, I witnessed amazing customer service. It was way beyond kind. It went like this: A customer rushed to a nearby bank thinking they were closing at midday for a lunch break. It was three minutes past midday when he arrived.

The doors were still open; it was a very warm day.

“Ahh ha! You’re open. Thank goodness! I thought you would be closed!’

“We are about to close but the Universe said to stay open, Ted is on his way!”

When was the last time you heard anyone say that? It wasn’t sarcastic, the teller was genuine. I commended the teller saying that was the nicest best customer service I had ever heard. She smiled and wished us a good day as she breezed off to lunch.

So there you are. it does exist. It is real. It does happen. And it sounded so much better than, ‘On card?“
