Here on the Downs (Southern Downs), we’re having a big weekend. Tonight was the start of the Classic Music Festival—Romancing the Stones. I went to my first opera tonight, the movie La Traviata. Wow. The theatre was nearly full, and the wide screen and surround sound filled us all with the most incredible vocals as the characters sang the story of Violetta, Alfredo, and Gastone. I was swept away. A sad love story but wonderfully told. And it is the anniversary of Pavarotti’s passing today, the 6th of September. Google tells me Pavarotti made his first international appearance in La Traviata in Belgrade, Yugoslavia.
That’s my rant for today. Click on the link for Pavarotti magic. Enjoy!

Thanks for reading… I welcome your feedback.

What a wonderful weekend to experience. I grew up on Luciano Pavarotti, so I’d love to be there.
