Another Round

Spock watched the weirdest moves as the crew gyrated and jiggled to the Intergalactic Top 50 pumping from the speakers. In his peripheral, Captain Kirk returned with another round of drinks.  Zaphod had taken over the bar as he managed the mounting orders for his pan-galactic gargle blasters.

“The dancing technique astounds me, Jim.”

“Yes, Spock, we humans dance to a different groove.”

“The lyrics are highly irregular.”

Jim laughed, “It’s more the rhythm that draws us in.”

Spock’s eyebrows twitched.

“To lighten the mood, Jim raised his glass, “To the final frontier!”

“”Live long and prosper!”

Here’s my take on the photo prompt. I hope all the Trekkies out there approve. I’ll have to read The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy again; such a good read!
