I finished reading The Tea Chest last night. Australian author Josephine Moon has weaved a wonderful story about three plucky women, each with their own battles, yet they come together randomly and through their collective talents, they take on a very big job and conquer many hurdles and hoops along the way. I enjoyed becoming part of the story, and the tea topic was right up my alley. Even if you’re an ardent coffee drinker, this story is for anyone who loves to read about ordinary women achieving extraordinary things.
I laughed out loud when Haruka disclosed his unexpected passion. Judy is the villain, sort of, but as the story unfolds, her dynamic becomes known. Her sister, Simone, is also complex. Kate, Leila and Elizabeth are the main characters. There are twists and turns I didn’t see coming, all the while, they are very relatable. The Tea Chest is a highly readable story. It’s cute, sassy, has an attitude, and it’s like a good cup of tea; full-bodied, it makes you feel good or better, fulfilled, and satisfied. I don’t have any negatives about this read, there wasn’t anything about it I didn’t like. I think Mark should be cloned; he sounds like the perfect husband.
Author Josephine Moon is a Queenslander. A Local. I give 10/10 to this read. I love it when I invest time in a story and it meets all my expectations .:-)

Thanks, Mason, I went in with nothing more than I liked the back blurb and the cover design. A fascinating world unfolded from the first page 🙂

You definitely chose well with this one. The E-book is stealing the joy of browsing covers and finding a blurb so intriguing you have to buy the book and read more, isn’t it.

If I can’t read the blurb or be dazzled by the cover…it’s unlikely I’ll give a book a home. And the first page or two…it’s got to hook me in.

I agree those things need to be attractive or I won’t feel like reading more, and so wont buy it.
